Every superfan has an origin story. Mine involved a 2 a.m. YouTube rabbit hole that started with a variety show clip and ended with me pre-ordering an import CD I could not afford.
This list exists to make your descent more intentional — and way more fun. One task per day. No skipping ahead (okay, some skipping ahead). By day 30, you won't just know who Miori Takeda is. You'll get it.
Week One: The Foundation
Day 1: Watch her breakout drama "Platform 9" — just the first episode. That's all it takes.
Day 2: Listen to "Kaze no Michi" with headphones. Full attention. No scrolling.
Day 3: Read one interview from her early career. The 2016 one where she talks about failing her first audition is a classic.
Day 4: Watch a variety show appearance. Any one. Her game show chaos is legendary.
Day 5: Follow her official accounts. Yes, even the one she barely posts on.
Day 6: Learn her fan color (mint green — you'll see why soon).
Day 7: Watch her first-ever stage performance clip. Compare it to anything recent. Marvel.
Week Two: Go Deeper
Day 8: Listen to her debut album front to back, in order, like it's 1998 and you bought the CD at Sam Goody.
Day 9: Watch a fan-made compilation of her best variety show reactions. You'll laugh. Everyone laughs.
Day 10: Try her go-to convenience store snack order. (Rumor says melon pan and jasmine tea.)
Day 11: Watch one episode of the anime she voices a lead character in. Her range will surprise you.
Day 12: Join a fan discussion — Reddit, Discord, X, wherever your people are. Just lurk if you're shy.
Day 13: Watch the "Sunset Platform" music video. Pause at the 2:47 mark. You're welcome.
Day 14: Recreate one of her iconic outfits from your own closet. Post it if you're brave.
Week Three: Become a Regular
Day 15: Pick your favorite song so far and defend it in a fan thread. Be prepared to lose.
Day 16: Watch a behind-the-scenes documentary or making-of video.
Day 17: Learn the "Miorin!" chant. Practice in the car where nobody can judge you.
Day 18: Watch a fan edit on TikTok. There are thousands. The slow-mo ones go hard.
Day 19: Read about her voice acting process. It'll change how you hear her characters.
Day 20: Make a playlist of your top five Miori tracks. Name it something embarrassing.
Day 21: Watch her US late-night debut. The monologue bit still holds up.
Week Four: Full Fandom
Day 22: Create something — a drawing, an edit, a very bad poem. The fandom accepts all offerings.
Day 23: Watch one of her earliest screen cameos. The "extra in a commercial" era is precious.
Day 24: Buy or make one piece of mint green fan gear.
Day 25: Watch a fan reaction video to her work. Seeing her through fresh eyes is a gift.
Day 26: Learn one fact about her pre-fame life. She reportedly did community theater. She was, by her own admission, "not good."
Day 27: Rewatch your Day 1 pick. Notice everything you missed.
Day 28: Post about your 30-day journey. Tag it. Share it.
Day 29: Plan for the next release. Check the calendar. Mark the date.
Day 30: Welcome yourself to the fandom. Seriously. You made it, and the mint green light stick looks great on you.
Bookmark this, send it to that friend who keeps saying "I should really check her out," and start whenever you're ready. The fandom's not going anywhere — and neither is she.
